Vynal or canvas wall sticker?

Okay, so I am going to buy a wall mural to cover my whole wall, which is about 8ft by 12ft and the choices for which material they give you is vynal or canvas. I don't have much experience with which one looks better or lasts longer (my mom is an architect so I'm not putting it up by myself, haha, that would be a disaster) so what are the pros and cons of both?

Vinyl in like a plastic coating, canvas is more fabric. I'm sure there are different ways of hanging it; the paste. I'd read more about it and ask some questions. Where you're purchasing it will be able to answer more questions. The vinyl more in a bathroom, kitchen. I think the canvas should do well in a bedroom. Roxanne
